Pope Francis Warns To Remove Pedophile Bishops

By Alon Calinao Dy: The Catholic Church has been facing a lot of controversies nowadays from the allegations of corruption to pedophile priests.

Recently, Pope Francis has warned those bishops who are involved of sexual harassments and those priests who have been found out guilty for sexual abuse.

Under the new Church laws, the pontiff said that he will remove bishops and priests from office if they are guilty with a violation of sexual assault.

This is a response to a lot of complaints that bishops have kept their silence despite many accusations as they moved clergy suspected of pedophile to a different parish assignment.

On June 4, Pope Francis, who were in Vatican City last Saturday, had been very vocal that he will not tolerate these indecent behaviors in the Catholic Church.

Here in the Philippines, there are allegations of Catholic Church sexual abuse cases aside from corruption. Though the pontiff may have knowledge of the ongoing scandals, this is a warning to the clergy that "no one is above the law."
