Is Antonio Trillanes Planning For Coup d'etat Against Presumptive President Duterte?
By Alon Calinao Dy: Speculations on social media that the controversial senator Antonio Trillanes is planning to have a coup d'etat against the incoming president Rodrigo Duterte.
After the tough-talking presumptive president won the 2016 presidential election, Trillanes went to Hawaii for business trip according to his followers.
It can't be denied that Trillanes did not like the leadership style of Duterte, and for this reason, rumors all over the social media said that he is behind the coup d'etat plan against the incoming adminastration.
Trillanes denied this issue that he would not do it but rather he would try to impeach Duterte if he violates the Constitution and human rights.
Trillanes also said that it would be possible that a coup d'etat against presumptive president Duterte is coming true since not all military personnel are happy with the presence of Joma Sison and communist people.
Outraged netizens do not believe Trillanes anymore since he accused Duterte for having P211 million in his BPI bank account and only to find out that everything was wrong and based on hearsays.
Duterte followers even pointed out that Trillanes received large amounts of money for doing this, and that he should be the one to be investigated in the senate whether the P500 million he received from a big company is true or not.
Some netizens believe that Trillanes is a hindrance to good governance of the new administration to end crime, corruption and illegal drugs within 3 to 6 months as he may be the source of violence. But many netizens said that "Trillanes is a barking dog" accusing Duterte without any real evidence.
