Presumptive President-Elect Rodrigo Duterte Got His Toughness And Discipline From His Mother
By Alon Calinao Dy: Jocellyn Duterte, a younger sister and who is one of my friends on Facebook, has talked about where the incoming president Rodrigo Duterte got his toughness and discipline.
Digong's sister said that he acquired these characters from their mother, but the "act of kindness" she said it came from her father who was a soft spoken person and the governor of undivided Davao at the time.
It was obvious that the 71-year-old Davao City mayor was a spoiled child and was confirmed by Jocellyn Duterte that Digong was a favorite son of her mother.
To all the mothers out there, you play a vital role in molding your children into leaders and disciplinarians. Just like incoming president Duterte, he got these positive characteristics because of the support from his parents especially from his mom.
On May 10, the tough-talking Duterte visited the grave of his parents and cried in front of them asking for their guidance to lead the country. This special moment was seen by millions of Filipinos around the world.
Duterte got more than 6 million votes from his supporters over Liberal Party standard bearer Mar Roxas, saying that it was one of the biggest leads, if not the enormous lead, in political history of the Philippines.
