Fr. Robert Protests To Bury Late Ferdinand Marcos At Libingan Ng Mga Bayani
By Alon Calinao Dy: Running priest and activist Fr. Robert Reyes continues to protest against Duterte administration about the plans to bury late president Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
In Even Demata Facebook page, Fr. Reyes released a statement by saying "we do not agree that Duterte administration will bury a leader who is a traitor and dictator at the Libingan ng mga Bayani."
Fr. Reyes added by calling the attention of President Duterte, he said "a lot of Filipinos endured torture and many people died during Marcos regime. Thus, it's a terrible insult to history."
However, Marcos Loyalists around the world are saying that late president Corazon Aquino is a real traitor when they brought the Philippine's economy down. They also said that Corazon Aquino was cursed by Marcos before his death.
The reason why President Rodrigo Duterte wants to bury late Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani is because this issue has divided the country and put
Filipinos divided. He wants to put this topic to rest.
I believe President Duterte is doing his best to unite us all Filipinos. Remember, after Duterte won the presidency, he called for national healing to everyone and joined him in the fight against criminality, corruption and illegal drugs.
