By Alon Calinao Dy: Former Justice Secretary Leila de Lima and now a senator has faced a lot of questions coming from Solicitor General Jose Calida about the spread of illegal drugs in the Philippines during her tenure.
Now Senator de Lima has promised the Filipinos that she is going to stop President Rodrigo Duterte for his iron-hand policy for she is a Human Rights advocate.
According to the netizens, the new administration is doing its best to fight the problems of criminality, corruption and illegal drugs that the former administration didn't do anything to stop the proliferation of prohibited drugs.
It seems Duterte supporters believe that Senator de Lima had a personal issue against President Duterte in the past, and to think the welfare of criminals instead the welfare of the victims from their criminal activities.
I personally couldn't blame the 16 million Filipinos who want to have a real change in the Philippines, and to think that many innocent lives especially the children have been ruined because the spread of illegal drugs and the massacre of the innocents because of the illegal drugs trade.
In my opinion, I don't think Sen. Leila de Lima is a true Human Rights advocate, and to think that these criminals are the first Human Rights violators when women are raped, roberry victims are physically hurt, and children's future is gradually killed because of drug abuse.
