Is It A Right Approach For Pacquiao To Ask LGBT Community's Fogiveness?

By Alon Calinao Dy: Congressman Manny Pacquiao has experienced hate speeches coming from Comedian Vice Ganda, who is Jose Marie Viceral in real life, after he compared Gay and Lesbian to animals about the same-sex marriage issue.

Vice Ganda, who represents the Lesbian, Gay, Bakla, Tomboy (LGBT) community, could learn many things about forgiveness from the bible.

When netizens laughed at Mommy Dionesia, they have not heard any violent reactions from Pacquiao, but why is it now that Vice Ganda and ABS-CBN TV host Boy Abunda have reacted so much about the said issue.

Pacquiao, who is being regarded as one of the best boxers in the world of boxing, asked for forgiveness about the same-sex marriage issue, comparing it to animals. But, why is it the two ABS-CBN hosts have not been able to forgive Pacquiao?

Netizens defended Pacquiao for his bold statements against same-sex marriage issue, while others said that the People's Champ had no right to criticize the civil rights of LGBT people as they only wanted to live happily ever after.

Now, is it a right approach for Pacquiao to ask LGBT community's forgiveness? If you have not watched Pacquiao's Facebook video asking for forgiveness, this is what he said: " I'm sorry for hurting people by comparing homosexuals to animals. Please forgive me for those I've hurt."

I know Pacquiao is a very humble person. I know many of you judge him for what he said. The boxing icon couldn't just express himself clearly. Perhaps, he said something that would annoy you. But Manny is Manny, who am I to judge him? Who do you think you are to hate Pacquiao? Everyone makes mistakes.
