ISIS uses Social Media For Their Propaganda

By Alon Calinao Dy: There were some reports about ISIS-related activity such as ongoing alleged recruitment was happening in parts of Mindanao, particularly in Basilan, and their target was young men who were uneducated and could easily enlist themselves to the notorious terror group.

In addition, the so-called ISIS members used their funds to recruit young Filipinos and tactics to brainwash newcomers. They even utilized social media to spread their propaganda.

According to Lt. General Rustico, a leader of Western Mindanao, said "Let us not give them the media attention they need, that is what terrorists need to create fear."
Also, President Benigno Aquino III said that he absolutely condemned ISIS and its widespread. He promised the US government that He will do everything to fight the extremist group.

Aquino told New York reporters, "Of course, we want to do something doable and within our capabilities without posing undue risks, through their forces or the country at large."
