By Alon Calinao Dy: I'm convinced that senator Miriam Defensor Santiago is one of the brightest senators in the Philippine Senate today, but it is undeniable that Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano is among them.
Alan, whose father was late Senator Renato “Compañero” Cayetano, graduated law at the Ateneo de Manila University and authored several Philippines laws. As young as he is, Senator Cayetano has a great potential to lead the nation.
One of the errors people make is they don't know how to choose a right leader with strong principles. Many people need to distinguish a leader who has it all, meaning he has the brain, firm belief, and always stick to the truth.
I'm not here to support Senator Alan Peter Cayetano for his future candidacy, it is only when you look at the person you know exactly who you are going to give a chance for our beloved country in a higher government office.
I know not everyone will agree with me because all of us has personal views. Whether you are a Binay or Estrada supporter, I respect you in your political preference.
I'm not here to convince you to like my opinion that under the right governance of Senator Cayetano the country has a bright future.
After all, the young senator has a lot of things to do in order to win the votes of the majority of the Filipinos. As the popular saying would say, "Actions speak louder than words."
