Is This A Personal Sentiment or A Hateful View Against Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte?

By Alon Calinao Dy: Earlier today, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has been criticized in the social media networks after he guested in a late-night talk show named 'Gandang Gabi Vice' last July 12.

Critics said that Duterte is a womanizer, having four wives and do not honor the rights of women at all.

It's all over on Facebook when the person named Bing posted a comment against Davao City Mayor Duterte, saying that he is a killer, a maniac, an advocate of a communist party, and even the TV host and comedian Vice Ganda has been labeled as immoral. I think this comment has been taken out after it has created a buzz not only to the solid supporters of Mayor Duterte but to some readers as well.

When Duterte appeared in the program, critics already assumed that he is really a womanizer even though a show is just a show, and it does not mean everything you say is real. In order for a particular program to be a must see, the TV host and special guest should make out something that will make the audience happy.


In jest, Duterte said "bakla ako noon, na-reform lang. (I used to be gay, but I was reformed).” This is simply a way to say that he supports the LGBT communities, and that everyone deserves to live and be happy. But it does not mean that he is really a gay.
