Netizens Blame Catholic Bishops' Conference Of The Philippines (CBCP) For Corruption

By Alon Calinao Dy: Netizens on social media already complained and blamed Catholic Church for corruption when some priests require Filipinos to pay for baptism of their children, pay for their marriage at the church, and for the burial ceremony of their loved ones.

The questions are: what about those people who cannot afford to pay for these services? Are they going to wait until they have money?

Netizens said that they are paying money for these services, and sometimes after the end of the mass, priests have still the courage to ask for some donations even though they already offered money in the middle of the mass ceremony.

Netizens have wondered why this is happening to the Catholic Church and some religious congregations nowadays.

What if you have no money for the baptism, wedding, burial, are the parish priests going to render their services for free?

Some outraged netizens said that everything is business to this day. If you have no money, you can hardly get these services for free.

Netizens said that this is no longer a service to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is considered as a almighty God by Catholics, but clearly a form of corruption since these religious leaders are not paying taxes in the government.

In a very recent news, some netizens allegedly accused Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) as big investors in some large corporations in the Philippines such as San Miguel and other big companies. If the report is true, I think netizens have a right to question the integrity and credibility of CBCP.
