MILF Flag All Over The Social Media Networks
By Alon Calinao Dy: Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF), and other individual groups do not agree about the terms and conditions in the Bangsamoro Basic Law.
MILF members have full faith that the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law is going to be passed before the end of the year, according to some social media users who believe that it is the path for lasting peace in Mindanao.
More groups have their MILF flag posted on different social media websites. Does it mean they are confident enough to get the majority votes of the lawmakers? What if the BBL will not be approved in the present or in the next administration, does it mean all out war?
It is now hard passing the BBL because of the 44 slain SAF members, and the majority of the people's sympathy is to seek truth and justice for their demise.
SAF troopers were not there in a fire fight over MILF, MNLF, and other Moro groups, but to take custody the two most wanted terrorists in the world, which their heads have a huge reward money.
We all want lasting peace in Mindanao, but I think the Bangsamoro Basic Law requires more studies from our lawmakers as it's not a guarantee to stop the war in Mindanao.
What about other Muslim rebel groups, are they willing to negotiate with the government? If they are really serious about peace in Mindanao, then they could easily hand over the remaining terrorists to the authorities.
