Testimony of A Yolanda Victim How Mayor Duterte Helped Yolanda Survivors

By Alon Calinao Dy: It is said that super typhoon Yolanda, internationally known as Haiyan, was one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded in the world with so many dead bodies and no knew the actual number of people who died in Tacloban City and nearby places last November 2013.

So, how many people died in Yolanda? According to Wikipedia's report, it was estimated more than 7,000 people, and perhaps, that was the report coming from the Philippine government.

However, Yolanda survivors did not believe that report as they witnessed the actual devastation in their respective areas, that it was more than 10,000 people, and perhaps even more, not including the missing people whose bodies are still missing to these days.

Take a look at the story of Ms. Kiasing Lazaro... She told that Mar Roxas, who had lots of companions of policemen and military personnel, did not help her even though he saw many casualties around the corner, and he still managed to give a thumbs-up sign.

Ms. Lazaro explained that one day after Yolanda, Mayor Duterte came to give food and medical assistance with 911. She witnessed how the good mayor cried when he saw the destruction of her city.

Ms. Lazaro, a resident in Tacloban City, is a living proof how Duterte reacted during the natural disaster and how Mr. DILG Roxas was so insensitive at the time.

After an unforgetable event in her life, Lazaro already knew who is a presidential candidate she is going to support in upcoming election. She also advised Waray people to vote Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for president.
