They can be politicians, businessmen, and other lines of work who have great influence in where people live and work. They can use high-ranking government officials or senators to reach their targets and goals. They have the power to control the media to change the mindsets, perspectives and beliefs of the people.
Presidential frontrunner Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has ensured the public whether you are rich or poor as long as you have violated the rule of law, you can be a subject for investigation. In the worst scenario, you can be arrested to safeguard the public safety of people. That's how the laws should be applied.
One reason why some oligarchs do not like Duterte is because they are hiding something that they do not want the public to know. If elected as a president, it is the responsibility of Duterte to see to it that every person whether you are wealthy or not you need to respect the rights of other people.
Duterte knows the laws since he is a lawyer by profession. In the event that these oligarchs or rich people have violated the laws as they are afforded with due process rights, Duterte being a head of the country has to fulfill his promise to end illegal drugs, crime and corruption in the country.
These are my reasons why I supported Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for president. I knew at that time that he would hear the people's call especially the poor who became victims of injustice and humiliation from these abusive oligarchs. As Duterte said, "let's fix this country."
Since no one is really sure who is going to win in the upcoming election for president, I hope and pray the issues of cheating are not true as what Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) said that they voted for Duterte for president but it came out other candidate's name. Many reports said that COMELEC website had been hacked. So what's the use of this election?
Remember, oligarchs have the power and influence to rule this country. They have money, machines and other resources to do this. It is every Filipino voter's responsibility to watch their votes and to keep the public know whether they have been cheated or not. But please, let's tell the TRUTH as what Duterte is going to reveal the hidden secrets of the country in the next couple of months if elected as a president.
