By Alon Calinao Dy: Bureau of Customs is one of the most corrupt government agencies in the Philippines and Filipinos no longer trust BOC officials and personnel since everyone is allegedly called as a corrupt government employee.
For those who work in Customs it may sound harsh for you to hear this statement but in reality, many believe that employees here can afford to live a luxurious life.
On July 22, Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon warned BOC officials and employees to stop corruption when he personally observed that it's hard to change the old BOC ways.
Faeldon wants to change the image of Bureau of Customs. He is doing this because he supports President Rodrigo Duterte's advocacy to end corruption aside from criminality and illegal drugs within 3 to 6 months in the office.
