By Alon Calinao Dy: Metro Manila has always been compared to Davao City for several times by a lot of Filipinos. Many have asked, "how many years from now to make Metro Manila a Davao City?"
Though according from the data of Department of Finance, mega cities such as Quezon City, Makati City, Manila City, and Pasig City are thought as wealthy, Davao City is also considered as a rich and stable city outside Metro Manila.
Probably, residents in Metro Manila want to have a better change when their lives are at stake each time they go outside their homes. Even inside their houses, various crimes still happen.
Filipinos want Metro Manila like Davao City that many people considered as one of the safest cities in the world, where you can wear your jeweltry and expensive mobile phones anytime you want and everywhere you go.
Perhaps, this question can be answered in the years to come. I think it is possible with everyone's cooperation and proper discipline, everything can be achieved. Of course, Filipinos need true and honest leaders who won't steal from us but rather serve us well.
