Prayer Meeting Gatherings— A Way For Drug Trade Inside New Bilibid Prison
By Alon Calinao Dy: Prayer meeting gatherings are allegedly the venue for prisoners so that they could sell and produce illegal drugs inside the maximum security compound according to Justice Secretary Aguirre.
Netizens said that why some religious groups tolerate these illegal activities as they used God for evil purposes. They also take a stand for what was right.
Justice Secretary cancelled religious visits for a while, and when everything is under control in New Bilibid Prison (NBP), he might allow the resumption of religious visits under strict supervision.
Many Filipinos got mad about this current news that some people can still do illegal drug trade using the name of God. After that, several netizens expressed their anger and frustration about this incident.
Reports said that SAF personnel confiscated over 1.6 million pesos inside the NBP and many deadly weapons including sachets of shabu were also seized.
President Rodrigo Duterte, who plans to suppress illegal drugs aside from various crimes and corruption in six months, wants to dismantle the rampant selling and production of prohibited drugs in New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
