I see my love from a distance
As I come forward to take my first step
I am afraid this time
I cannot keep,
My promise of love.

From a distance I wonder
If this love of mine
Will last forever
I try so hard to define
The meaning of love.

From a distance I finally see
I completely understand
As I move forward to take my second step
Followed by a third step
Oh! You are easy to love like a sponge.
