Why Mayweather Won't Fight Pacquiao?
By Alon Calinao Dy: The biggest battle of the century between Floyd Mayweather, Jr., and Manny Pacquiao might happen this year. Pacquiao clearly stated that he wants to fight the unbeaten American at any given time and spot.
Mayweather, on the other hand, had expressed his desire to fight the Filipino pound-for-pound king during an interview on Showtime as he picked his date preferably on May 2 this year.
However, the Filipino boxing icon urged Mayweather to sign the agreed contract so that they can continue with promoting the much-awaited of the year.
At this moment no one really knows whether we are going to see them both fight in the fighting arena, even though most professional boxing champions say that it is Mayweather, who is going to win the competition if ever these fighters will finally meet.
In my own opinion, the fight will push through probably this year because Pacquiao is going to run for a higher government position in 2016.
The Filipino boxer can still get some multi-million dollar deals against tough opponents, but I don't think he can make many excuses once he has a position in the senate. That's why this is a perfect time for Mayweather to fight Pacquiao for everything comes to an end.
The question is, why Mayweather won't fight Pacquiao? He is not sure if he can beat Pacquiao because what really matters to him is his perfect record.
