By Alon Calinao Dy: In the petition launched on social media by netizens after Senator Leila de Lima won the senatorial race last May 2016, they called her as an "unworthy and protector" of illegal drug trade in the Philippines.
Images of Senator Leila and drug lord Herbert Colangco surfaced on social media singing together according to some reports.
Colangco was also interviewed by Philippine media and International media asking him why he kept the pictures of former president Benigno Simeon 'PNoy' Aquino III inside his prison cell.
Netizens want to know the relationship between Colangco and de Lima and why often they have been linked together.
For this reason, netizens are calling Senator Leila de Lima to resign in the office. They also warned her to answer the allegations related to the profeliration of illegal drugs at the New Bilibid Prison during her tenure as a Justice Secretary.
So far, netizens are happy to know that President Rodrigo Duterte has assigned elite Special Action Force (SAF) men to guard prisoners at the maximum security compound in order to totally stop the production and selling of illegal drugs inside their cells.
