President Rodrigo Duterte To Moro People: Let Go Your Hatred

By Alon Calinao Dy: When President Rodrigo Roa Duterte visited Basilan last July 21, he told an inspiring message to Moro people to help the Philippine government and to let go their remaining hatred against the past and current administrations.

The President believes that government and Moro rebels are not enemies and can't fight always to the death as he promised them to hear their cries and good governance.

In his speech Duterte said that he is going to make Basilan a better and safe place for everyone. He encouraged everyone to participate in his good agenda to stop the clash between government and Moro rebels in order to save many innocent lives.

In fact, according to Presidential Communications Office Secretary Martin Andanar, President Duterte wants to have  a Muslim TV, which will be called "Saalam TV" so that Muslim brothers and sisters have a chance to speak what they want, creating a strong voice for future generations.

It's really interesting to know that President Duterte is doing his best to unite us all regardless of our religious and personal beliefs. It's only shows that he respects our true democratic principles.

The President's desire to push genuine change in our country inspires a lot of young Filipinos to care for each other and to love our government that the past administrations didn't achieve. I now pray that all Filipinos may live in peace, kindness, friendship, love, humility, and unity.
