When you visit Davao City, don't be surprised when you see the good mayor pretending as a taxi driver to catch the petty criminals. Remember, Davao City is the 9th safest place in the world. Only in the Philippines.

If you are a passenger, you'll be lucky to have a little conversation with the infamous mayor. Mayor Duterte welcomes everyone in the city, but if you are a law offender you should think twice before coming to Davao City because this place is not good for you.

I am sure many Filipinos are still asking if he is interested to run for the presidency in 2016. I guess a lot of you have seen the TV ads of Mayor Duterte, but still wondering what government position he is going to run next. Don't worry, the mayor knows what to do in order to help every Filipino in the country, but the real change starts with you.

Don't believe everything you watch on the TV or read in the newsprint that he is a human rights violator. He is actually protecting the rights of the innocent people to live a peaceable life.

We have the same thinking with Davao mayor Duterte that these criminals should be punished in order for others to live a normal life. A safe, friendly environment should be an ideal place for everyone and not a hiding place for outlaws.

Duterte is a man of principles. He does what he says and promise to fight corruption in the country even though he might be jailed for multiple murder, for as long as he is in the good side of the people.

Why Are Some Politicians Being Afraid of Davao Mayor Duterte?

By Alon Calinao Dy: Many Dabawenyos know that the much-admired Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, also known as "Digong," is a man of honor. 

For instance, If he says that he is going to close the congress because of rampant corruption in the country, he will do that no matter what it takes as he prioritizes the welfare of the nation and the people.

If you happen to meet every Dabawenyo on the street, each person is proud of their mayor. People have so much respect for Digong since he is against all the criminal activities within his areas of responsibility.

Duterte is a man of principles. If you possess a strong principle in life, then it is less likely that you are going to be dictated by rich and powerful people in the country. For example, late Ferdinand Marcos is one of the presidents who has a strong-willed rule.

Some people even question his credibility being an iron fist. They doubt him if he can make the Philippines not only a peaceful nation but a better nation in terms of the economy, and so forth.

Almost all Dabawenyos said that "he is the best alternative presidential candidate in 2016," which I believe he is. People should not underestimate what he is capable of.

To give you a brief idea, Duterte was born March 28, 1945 in Maasin, Leyte. His father became a governor in Davao and his mother was a school teacher. His parents raised him well to become a person who always sticks to the truth and what is right and so, until now he has all these important values he learned from his family.
